Demand Planning using historical sales data when just gone live with S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Hi,

Can i kindly get some inputs (sharing of ideas/experience, materials, blogs, links etc.) regarding addressing a requirement of being able to use S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition demand planning (or preparing sales forecast), when the client site has just gone live with the system?

These historical sales data is currently in excel, and the solution package include SAC planning (SAP Analytics Cloud), but they don't have SAP IPB.  The question is how can the client do a quite seamless demand planning or sales forecast preparation incorporating these sales history in excel, and potentially feed a final demand plan into S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition?  Can SAC planning be used with excel perhaps saved in a shared folder (SharePoint or company shared drive) as a data source?

In S/4HANA Cloud, there is sales planning solution(scope item: 1O0) in sales area, however there is no direct integration with demand side. based on my personal information, demand planning could be done with IBP(but as you said the customer didn't have that).
