Delivery from project GI movement type

Dear SAP experts,

When using delivery from project (CNS0), delivery type LP, the standard Movement type for GI is 281(Q).

For a customer this needs to be changed to 601(Q) for the COGS split.

Valuated project stock is in use.

Is there a way in customizing to change the GI movement type only for delivery from project?

Since the Delivery is being created in reference to the Project and not a Sales Order you need to use the 281 Movement Type so the costs properly flow to the project. See if you can apply your COGS split settings to this movement type.

Thanks for your reply. I believe you are right that delivery from project always picks 281. Will check if the COGS Split can be applied to this movement type. Will let you know the results.

I can confirm that 281 is hard coded and can't be changed. We will apply the COGS split to Movement type 281 and create a new movement type for normal consumption
