Default profit centre assigned in Tcode 3KEI not working.

Hi All,

Have configured the default profit center as 3KEI for a GL '24260010'

The profit center and GL account both are active

when I post entries the profit center doesnu2019t get defaulted even posted automatically or manually.

Actually this settings is there in 2 systems (PRD-4.6c and Upgraded testing-ECC6.0) and In 4.6c system its working absolutely fine and in the ECC6.0 its not.

What could be the reason?

Please suggest the possibilities.

But the settings in both TCodes are same.

You mean to say:

3KEH, 3KEI, OKB9, OKC9 settings are same in your 4.6 and ECC. Am I right?

What you are doing in 4.6. Are you trying to post a Customer Invoice F-22 and the profit center is defaulted on Income Line item level in 4.6 but NOT in ECC 6.0. Is this right?

Please clarify.

Yes Ravi, All the settings in all four Tcodes are same in 4.6c and ECC6.0

We are trying to post a document using Fb01.

Incase of the 4.6c the default profit centre is appearing and in case of ECC 6.0 the profit centre is left blank.

Hi,

You can give default profit center in 3KEH. Why do you want to use 3KEI? 3KEI(Derive default profit Center) is depends on Business area and Valuation area(Plant). This is used for tax accounts or others as per the requirement.

The Note 124363 helped us solve this problem.

The function module was present but the entry was missing in Table TRWPR.

Hi,

In ECC 6.0 your 3kei/3keh settings will not work. FAGL3KEH - you have to give default profit center for your GL codes.

For GL Account profit center assignment for ECC 6.0 you can use t.code FAGL3KEH.

This is for direct GL assignment only.
