Rameshbabu,

You need to do the following:

1) Create Planning Calender: Maintain weekly periods while generating periods.

2) Assign the Planning Calender in the MRP1 view of the material master

3) Maintain PK as the lot size key.

4) In MRP4 view maintain 2 in ind/coll indicator.

With the above settings all customer requirements will be cummulated as per the requirements falling in the planning period week. Suppose 3 requirements fall in the planning period 01.08.2007 to 07.08.2007. Then a single planned order will be created for all the requirements with the finish date as 01.08.2007.

Hope this is useful.

Thank u very much for your help,

An issue while mrp run - we require that it creates plnd order only when cumulative reqmt qty is in between lot size 400-600 lb,

if we maintain min & max lot size 400 lb & 600 lb resp, we get a plnd order of 400 lb even when the reqmt qty is less than 400. how can we keep this requirement to be considered in the next period (If it is less than 400)?

Rameshbabu,

I am not sure this is possible. May be through user exits you could do this. But suppose the requirement is for less than 400 and you do not get any further requirements further then no planned order would be created for the pending requirements. Instead if you produce 400 though the actual requirements is less then the excess will in inventory. Any further requirements would consider this inventory while planning further. Ofcource you need to take this decision based on the inventory carrying costs.

You can also try sing the rounding profile for a threshold value which is less than 400 then the order to be rounded to 0. Check this out.

Hi,

You can use period lot size as a weekly.
