Hi,

As per your process (1.PO,GR,3.IR,4.CM) and want to reduce from 3 quantity from inventory , then you need to do another steps which is 5th one in MIGO with 102 movement type.

NOTE: Subsequent Debits/Credits are used in cases where the quantity is in the original invoice is to remain the same but value differs which added/subtracted as per vendor extra invoice.

Hi,

One example credit memo scenario.

Ordered 10 Qty.

Received 10 Qty

Invoiced 10 Qty.

After this you find that some items are defective and you want to return to the vendor. In this case, first you need return the goods to vendor through 122 movement type. This step reduces the inventory but you already posted the Invoice for 10 Qty. Hence you need to adjust the value of the items you returned subsequently you post the credit memo. As everyone said credit memo or subsequent credit only adjust the value in vendor account and not the quantity.

Hi, With reference to which document you are posting Credit Memo, Credit Memo has nothing to do with stocks, it will only adopt quantity mentioned for price adjustment & it will not reduce the stock,

Stocks will only change if you are doing any kinda goods movement, i.e. return to vendor of 3 quantity.

Hi,

A subsequent credit memo does not reduce the quantity to the total quantity. I.e. it is a price adjustment only.

By posting a subsequent credit, the system updates the ordering transaction on a value basis but not on a quantity basis.
