hi,

IT0709 is the field for person id, it is deactivated in sap

system you activate this only when you implement concurrent

employment where one employee has more than two assignmnets. The

person id is the key infotype when you implement the concurrent

employment because all the perner of the same employee will

point to this person id,

.ok

Hi

If I use concurrent employment, whereby Person ID will have 123 (following personnel number 123) during hiring into country A. What personnel actions can i use to transfer the employee from country A to country B and still having the same Person ID 123 ? If he is transfered to country B, will his personnel number in country B be 123 or 124 ? Also in standard sap reports, can i select and display based on Person ID instead of personnel number ?

Hi,

PERID will be same since it is used for Global Assignment. PERNR will vary from Country to country.

I am sure you will be able to generate the report based on PERID.

Hope this helps. Let me know in case of clarification.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

Goto table T529A and check the "Country Reassignment" for your respective action.

I am sure your problem will be solved.

I am getting the error message "Personnel number already exists" if i use back the same personnel number during transfer across countries.

Hi,

I believe the same personnel number exists in both your countries.

Please check that before doing the transfer.

Reward points appreciated.

Hi

Scenario 1:

Country A (country transferred from): enter personnel number 123

Country B (country transferred to): enter personnel number 123

Not possible to transfer to country B and system generate error "Personnel number already exists"

Scenario 2:

Country A (country transferred from): enter personnel number 123

Country B (country transferred to): enter personnel number 124

Employee transferred to country B successfully with personnel number 124.

Scenario 2 works fine but not scenario 1. User requested for scenario 1 whereby the personnel number has to be the same if the employee is transferred from country A to country B.

Hi,

That is exactly what I told earlier.

Personnel number 123 exists in both the countries. You can delete the personnel number in country B to achieve your needs. Use the t-code PU00 for that.

Reward points appreciated.

Hi

I have checked that personnel number 123 exists in country A only. It does not exist in country B at all.
