How can I run cost estimate considering another Exchange Rate Type instead of M, I have create a new Exchange Rate Type P I have define the new ratio and i gave the rate. now i want to run the cost calculation and see the value with new rate. My issue is to have a cost estimate saved and not released on different version in wich there is an exchange rate type equal P so different then M.

thanks

Hi Pavel

1. Create a Plan Version in CO and assign exch rate type P to it

2. Create a new costing variant in OKKN..

- The valuation variant of this costing variant should be attached to this version

- The costing type of this costing variant must have "Prices other than std cost estimate".. With this you can save this cost estimate in a different field like Plan price 1 2 or 3 (and need not release it to Std Cost, which is your one of the requirement)

3. Plz note that, all this exch rate type P would apply to overheads alone... The Plan prices or MAP or Std Price of BOM component materials that you maintain in mat master will always be in Comp Code currency and hence no concept of exch rate type applies here

Hi,

You need to use another costing variant . In costing variant you assign the valuation variant and in the valuation variant , you assign the CO Version for Valuation . And in CO version you assign exchange rate type.

So sequence is - First have another CO version with your defined Exhange rate type , create another valuation variant , link this CO version , and link this valuation variant to Costing variant.

I hope this answer your question.
