Cost Element

Hi All,

I have a Expenses account 500100 which was created on 01/04/2008. And i created a cost element for it on 18/06/08. There are some transactions which was posted into that particular Expense account in between 01/04/2008 to 17/06/2008. Now i want to get the transactions in the cost element also. Is that possible.?

Dear Rajani,

ow it is not possible to post your previous entries to cost centers. Only entries after creation of cost element will get posted..

Any changes in SAP are prospective only. You cannot get the details retrospectively.

If you have not posted any values after creating the element I suggest you to delete the cost element first.

Then make the transfer posting from this GL to some other GL and make this balance zero.

Then create the cost element and transfer back the amounts to the GL account.

This is a work around only.
