Please consider the scenario........
There are multiple production plants....FG are transferreed to HO and sold from there and excise is not included in customer invoice.
Price control in HO is V and production plants S. COPA valuation strategy is defined 001 for real time costing.
Costing key 001. for std cost estimate and 002 for SO cost estimate. Costing keys are attached to Material Types as 001, 002 sequence.
When billing is done from HO error is coming from COPA side because it cannot read cost estimate. So, costing keys are removed from material type...and it is working fine.
Problem now....is that cost estimate cannot be accessed.....in COPA
Costing keys can be created in combination with plant ....but there are only 3 keys can be attached to a material type. There are more production plants.....
Is it possible to keep price control V in HO and access cost estimate from multiple plants....???
Expecting expert opinion on this...
Thanks and Regards,

Hi
Very much possible.. But you need to do some tweaking and also your system design must support
1. When you sell from HO - How are you gonna identify the Mfg Plant at which the product has been manufactured??. You need to have batch no in place where 1st Alphabet denotes a specific Plant
If this is designed, then read the Batch No in COPA using note 70231.. Write these derivation rules
a. Using Enhancement method and code Exit COPA0001 or COPA0005 to populate batch no in a WWXXX char in COPA
b. Using Enhancement or MOVE method to populate 1st Alphabet from batch no in a WWXXX Char
c. Using Asignment method, to derive Mfg WERKS (Plant) Based on b and overwrite the Seling Plant in the transaction
Once the Mfg Plant is derived, you can then read the cost estimates
The above solution is also possible using valuation Exit COPA0002.. Then you dont need these many derivation rules... JUst assign the exit in yur Val Strategy in KE4U

Thank you very much Ajay for your valuable solution....
In COPA valuation there is an option to assign costing key to characteristics.......is there any possibility through that route...??/
Anyway, I believe that all these exercise has got meaning if the activity price calculation is by KSS4/ KSPI and KSII...and cost component values are accurately calculated. When activity price is directly updated in KP26 and there is no detail....only COGS is enough for COPA reporting.......am I correct???/
