Consumption of PIR

Greetings...

1. created PIR for SOP

2. MRP Run

3. Converted Planed order to process order

4. Goods issue to Prcoess order

5. Process order Confirmation

6. Goods Reciept

7. Goods in Stock

8. transfer Goods To another Plant under Stock Transfer Order to my another Plant.

So my Problem is PIR , is not consumed , after stock get posted .It showing new requrienment , which get consider in MRP Run.

How to avoid this , so that after GR , PIR shold get consume.

Which Strategy i should Use, right now using 10.?? What else setting i have to do for Consumption of PIR.

Dear,

With strategy 10, when doing PGI for Delivery/Sales order relavant for Customer order only the PIR would reduced. In standard SAP the PIR wont get consumed against STO, so please try through BADI "BADI MD_PIR_FLEX_CONS".

U refer consume and reduce .what is the Diff.

Actually I am creating Demand for year monthwise . After taking MRP with Planing Horizon, I am geting Planed order for each month. But after complaeting all Process order and Elivery made that independet requrienemtn remain as it is and consider in next run.

So after process order GR i want to reduce the PIR.

What wil be my Strategy ??

Dear SAP PP,

There is slight difference between Consumption & Reduction of PIR As per Std SAP

Strategy 40 - Consumption of PIR. incoming sales order consumes PIR

Strategy 10 - Reduction of PIR

Hi SAP PP,

For strategy 10 ,only if you do PGI in delivary reduction of PIR takes place.You have to maintain in material master the type of consumption whether its for ward ,backward or for/back consumption.

And aslo maintain FWD consumption and Backward consumption period in days in material master.If Pir fall within these days,it will get consumed.

It is always advisable to use strategy 40,because it will act as both make to stock as well as make to order and it will conume PIRs whenever there is a sale order or demand.

Hi

As per the strategy 10, the PIR will be consumbed after you do the PGI for the stock while do the delivary for the order.

and as forum members said, PIR will not be reduced by the STO. since you transfer the stock to some another plant. but it not consumed.

Suggestion

1, Do create sales order and do PGI (delivary confirm) for the planning strategy 10

2. In 40 , when ever you create the sales order, it consume the PIR that you created.

Dear,

If you want PIR to be reduced after Process order GR then you should use planning strategy-11, with Mixed MRP Indicator -2 in MRP 3 view. Hope you have maintained consumption strategy and consumption parameters in MRP3 view.

Dear SAP PP,

For much qty have you created Demand

just check in MD62 or MD63 & check the dates for that PIR

u can can check Via MD04 also

and check how much demand have produced

Hi,

Startegy 10 does not consume sales order requirement.

You need to strategy like 40 .

In MRP 3 view enter consumption mode .

Enter fwd/Back consumption

Mixed MRP = 1.

Hope this will solve yours issue.
