HI

Our clients wants the DEADSTOCK items to be tracked physically but it should not affect the inventory account.

We set G/L account determination as "Item Groups".

so how we can we track these DEADSTOCK items physically without affecting the accounts.

Hi,

It is depending on how you accounting deal with them. If those DEADSTOCK items valueless, you can re-valuate them to minimum amount or 0 if possible. Then you will have only quantity but no value affect your account.

Thanks,

hi

if you want to that your dead stock should not effect the inventory account then mark the respective item as inactive item and once the items are marked as inactive items they wont be picked in any document and would not be present in the automatic JE passed

Hope this would suffice your concern
