Hi All,
With you experts help, i have successfully configured enterprise structure, personnel structure and organization structure. I think this completes the OM configuration. Let me know if anything is left behind.
Further I would like to proceed with PA configuration. How can I proceed? From where to start PA configuration. It'll be very helpful if anyone can give me step by step guidance.

Hi,
In PA there are many areas which you have to take care. Goto SPRO ->IMG->Personal Management-> Personal Administration in this you can find the personal data and details which has to be configured. PA mostly invloved in Portal..

Generally Personnel Management is called as PM, Personnel Administration as PA

now that you have completed the actions and infogroups, go to PA 40 and chk if the actions are the same as what you have given in actions menu, if not ensure that the reference group id is assigned against you (easy access menu --> system --> own data --> user group) and hire two to three employee to chk if all you configurations are working fine.
Once you have run this chk, run RHINTE00, 10, 20 and 30 to integrate data between PA and OM.

Hi,
I am trying to hire the employee in PA40. The start date is 12.01.2009. Where can i see the control record date. I would like to know the PA configuration from Basics. Can you send me any docs if you have any.
my ID is raaj.1807 at gmail dot com.
Also in PA03 i found that the payroll is defined only for period 01 1997 to 12 2003.
How can create new entries here for current year??

In PA u have to configure for Infotype grps and Infotype menus......
These are for setting up the PA30 and PA40....
path is SPRO -> Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> customizing Procedures..
In this u have to configure the nodes Infotype Menus and Actions
