Hi,

I have to configure a new asset class for Low Value Assets with a value of 150-1000 EUR one asset item. LVA acquisitions are recorded under collective item- a summarization of low value asssets in 2008. The depreciation of these items is once a year at 31/12 over 5 years. Depreciation Method : Straight line method.

Can anyone please tell me the steps involved to configure the above mentioned Low Value Asset Class.

Quick response will be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

Hi you can create a normal asset class with account assignment

The maximum amount you set up in config:

Financial Accounting / Asset Accounting / Valuation / Amount Specifications (Company Code/Depreciation Area) / Specify Max. Amount for Low-Value Assets + Asset Classes.

You can create a depreciation key with Multi-Level Methods when you want to do the depreciation in period 12 (period 0-11 no depr 0% per 12 depreciation xx% (you can found some examples on this forum)

13-23 no depreciation....)

For the period control use start depreciation at the begin of the year. (then you have the depreciation in period 12).

When you assign the depreciation areas to this asset class you can give in the default values 5 years depreciation key ZZZ.

( Financial Accounting / Valuation / Depreciation Areas / Determine Depreciation Areas in the Asset Class
