COMAC and Check group rules/availability check control in Configuration

Hello all,

Is there anyway to set a different check group rules based on business functions (sales, distribution, production). I notice that the way it works currently in our setup in SAP is that Sales, Distribution, and Production are all working with the same check group rules. What if Sales wants to include purchase requisitions in their control for availability but Production does not want to include requisitions, is there any way in configuration to seperate these when both (sales and production) needs to run checks for availability on the same materials?

Bobbie,

Availability checking group is defined at the material master. However, the Checking rules can be different between, say, SD ATP checking or PP Production order ATP checking.

Checking rules for SD are hardwired, A for Sales doc ATP, AE for MTO sales doc ATP, B for Delivery creation, etc.

However, you can define a different checking rules for Production orders in OPJK. You can define BackOrder checking rules, and planned order dependent requirments checking rules in OPPQ. You can defing checking rule for Stock Transport order ATPs in OMGN.

Once you have your various checking rules assigned, you can fine tune the ATP check in OVZ9. Here, for each checking group/checking rule combination, you can define which supply elements, and which requirements elements you wish to include in the product check.
