Coal mine processes in SAP PM

Dear All,

Can anyone help me to implement SAP PM module for coal mine industry? As I am new to SAP PM I don't know how to implement plant maintenance related business scenarios. Please guide me in this regards.

Hi,

Various processes carried out such as, Preventive maintenance, Breakdown maintenance,Shutdown maintenance & Maintenance Work Order for equipment which are repairable outside of the company.

For implementing preventive maintenance

1. Define general /equipment/ FL task list

2. create maint plan (single cycle or strategy) specifying frequency & scheduling parameter(use order type PM03)

3. Schedule plan & generate order/notification

4. Process, confirm & TECO preventive maint. orders

Hi,

When I am trying save schedule maintenance plan it display error as, Scheduling parameters for maintenance order have not been entered.Message no. CT608. But I have already define scheduling parameters for maintenance order in OPU7.

Are you getting message when you are creating order manually ?

Further you have to maintain scheduling parameter order types wise & for each plant separately. Pl check

Hi,

This error occurred in IP10 transaction while saving. I have already define scheduling parameters for each order type.

Plant maintenance includes following processes which may be impplemented

1. Preventive maintenance process- to map your time based (frequency based)scheduled maintenance of all equipments

This can be mapped in maint. plan, task list & order

2. Break down maint process- To capture breakdown details(down time, cause, damage, object part etc) in notificationtype (M2) & order type PM02

3.Capital repair process- To capture yearly major shutdown & repair process

4. Calibration process If you are doing calibration of weighing systems or measuring instruments

5. Refurbishment(repair of spare)

& Analysis & MIS reports will be output of your process implementations
