Hi,
Maybe you already adjust it, but I've got steps to fix this kind of error:
Dear Customer,
The root cause for error message CKMLWIP 052 is the fact that you have executed WIP calculation in wrong periodic sequence for period 5 and 6/202X. On 02.06.202X WIP was first calculated for period 6 and afterwards for period 5.
As a result of this wrong sequence the cancellation of the WIP for orders has been updated twice in ML, the first time in period 5 and then again in period 5.
To correct this inconsistency I used program FCMLHELP_WIP_WRONG_SEQUENCE (need to open OSS because request password to execute) to flag the wrong document & as invalid. Afterwards I used program FCMLHELP_COMP_WIP_DOC_WITH_QS (Also need SAP to execute) to correct the WIP Quantity Structure from the corrected WIP documents.
Afterwards I completed step ‘Preparation’ for costing run & without error.
ATTENTION: To correct potentially wrong value flows in the ML close we strongly recommend that you repeat CKMLCP step 'Preparation' for all materials/activities of the costing run.
To prevent execution of WIP calculation for wrong periods we recommend using the period lock OKP1.
Please also implement attached note 2645554 which will improve the performance of the WIP helpdesk tools.
Hope this information can help you !!!
Kind Regards,
Emerson

Hi Emerson,
Thanks for the insights. We executed the correct sequence and followed the right process. I also verified all the steps, but we are still encountering the same error message:
CKMLWIP052: The WIP quantities for the material are inconsistent.
My main concern is why SAP isn't providing a proper solution for these issues. If possible, could you please create a post with different scenarios. That might be helpful for everyone.
Thank you,
Vijaykumar A
