Clarification on note 358644 ALV Export excel

Hello,

We are facing the following problem described in note 358644:

"The system sorts or groups the columns together according to characteristics and key figures"

The prerequisite for a correct grouping is that at least one characteristic column is displayed in the ALV Grid.

Does anyone understand the prerequisite? We dont understand what to do

Hello,

Characteristics mean text columns, and key figures mean numerical values. In this note, all three options to export data to Excel are mentioned including the advantages and the limitations of the export methods.
