Characteristic Group in Material Master

Hi Friends,

in mm02 in Classification view I can create several "characteristic groups". Normaly I find characteristic groups

in cabn but not for these groups.

Can some body tell me in which table I can find these "characteristic groups"?

Or is where a bapi to read them.

Hi,

the groups that you can create in mm02 (classification view) can be used to group the characteristics on different tab-strips on this screen.

They are stored in table CUSD.

Unfortunately I don't know a BAPI to read them but maybe function module CTCU_LOAD_CUSTOMIZING might help here.

The groups that appear in CABN (field ATKLA) are something different. They are not used for a grouping on the screen but they are used to group characteristics technically, e.g. to make finding characteristics easier.

To be honest I never used the groups for the classification screen in mm02.

Usually if I need to group characteristics on a screen I need it for the configuration screen. For this screen groups can be maintained via cu50 or more convenient via PMEVC.
