Chapter ID issue in goods receipt

Hi MM Cosnultants,

We are getting materials from another plant thro STO .

We created a STO ( Chapter ID is nto maintained in receiving plant during STO creation and maintained later before MIGO) and material is sent from another palnt thro SD delivery and billing and excise invoice.

Now when we do MIGO in receiving plant system system copies the chapter id and once i enter the excise invoice ref of supplying plant the chap[ter id disapperas and not able to post and throws the error " Maintain chapter ID for the material XXXXXX "

How to fix this issue.

We dont have option to maintain teh chapter id in old date.

This is critical issue and request help.

Points will be given to the right answers.

Hey,

Check table J_1iexcdtl for the excise invoice posted in the supplying plant that you refer in the receiving plant. If chapter ID

is not updated in this table then it is likely that it will overwrite the one defaulted in the receiving plant.

This is because of creation of EI in the supplying plant without maintaining the chapter ID for the material.

Thanks for ur mail.

We recd material now and not able to inward.

I update in J1ID and still issue is not solved.

Is it possible to updated J1ID with old date

Hi,

When you maintain chapter Id for the material there is no date that is considered.

If the chapter Id is not maintained during posting outgoing excise then the same will not be updated in J_1IEXCDTL table.

You can manually update chapter ID for that excise invoice and then proceed doing MIGO
