Change of Equipment category

Dear Experts,

We have created an equipment with category ' M' , now we want to change the equipment category . Is it possible to change the equipment category?

hi

i think it is possible ,in the equipment change mode from the menu Edit>Change equipment category .but you can only change the equipment cateogy for which the reference category are same

What do you mean by the ' Reference category ' to be same if we need to change the eqipment category ?

hi

reference cateogry is the one you specified while creating the equipment cateogry in the IMG ,Like machine,production tools etc

hence you can only change the equipment cateogry for which reference category are same

I don't understand the issue of the reference category working, why using the same reference category when you want to change the same reference category to a different one, otherwise there will be no debt if the system was to be able to change to a different category
