Dear All,
I am new to MM
In SCM UOM by mistak old decimal point is 2.
Now we need to change it to 3.
If I change thru CUNI, will create any problem in old transactions ?
Regards,
Nirav
e.g
1. You have a UOM SCM with 2 decimal places, created a PO and posted all the followon documents and PO is closed. If you change decimal places to 3, it wont have any impact on this PO. However
2. You have a UOM SCM with 2 decimal places, created a PO and posted all the followon documents for partial quantity and value and PO is still open. If you change decimal places to 3, it will have impact on this PO at the time of creation of further follow on documents as there is inconsistency between UOM in PO and UOM in system.

Hello Nilesh,
Thanks
In our case material is pipeline material - Natural Gas. We are issuing the material to cost centre.
Every 15 days we are receiving bill from Vendor and settle thru MRKO transaction.
So when we settle the vendor bill trhu MRKO, we have stop issuing material. After settlement, change the decimal and start issuing again.
Is it correct ?
Thanks and Regards,
Nirav
If you do any changes to decimal places, old open documents will get affected. better to close them first or analyse the busines impact before going for change.

Hi,
At first complete all your open process and then try to change.
Yes, you can do it through CUNI..
