Change in method for calculating depreciation

Hi

We have to change the method of Depreciation calculation for a company code fro WDV to Straight Line Method (SLM).What would be the configuration changes and the Tcode for the same?

Hi Sunil....

What ever Ashish is told that is exactly true.... You have to create new depreciation key in WDV method and assign that to ur Asset master. So that the depreciation will change automatically.

This is actual proceadure any way i will check once again and let u know. Mean while u can proceed in ur development client.

Hi Sanil Bhandari,

I just want to try following steps:

Change the depreciation key of that asset (which should follow the SLM of dep)

About the diffrence in drepreciation, thre are two methods in SAP one is

Smooting other one is catching. you need to follow anyone of these method to update the diffrence in depreciation.
