Hello
I've installed a central instance in linux and oracle databas. The installation was successfull and tcode sick reported no errors. So I started to run SGEN and the job os SGEN finished with success. But when I navigate through R3 system, a lot of objects are compilled and takes a lot of time to complete the task.
Two examples:
1)At tcode ST22 I've clicked at the button "Yesterday" to see the dumps of yesterday and it's running about ten minutes and do not show me the dumps
2)When click on the x button to close the window of R3 also takes to much time and the window do not close.
I've run SGEN with Generate all Objects of Selected Software Components option.
Could you please help me to find out why even with SGEN job finishing ok, the programs still taking too much to be compliled?

have you checked your file systems? may be archive directory is full(since sgen generate a considerable amount of logs). Only system administration tcode perform slowly or all tcode perform slowly? have you updated the statistics?

If you have selected the option Generate all Objects of Selected Software Components, please make sure that on next screen you should select all components manually otherwise it will select only single component.

Are you sure the SGEN job completed successfully, verify the 'time duration' it ran using SM37 as well.
Are you sure when you run SE16 then you get the 'slow response' only due to 'load/object compilation' ?
If you are doubtful then Problem might also be related to network/connectivity speed and may be database archive logging directory is full ?

May be something wrong with the kernel ? Try and update the kernel patch level as well.
