Capacity planning

Hi All,

In the recipe,I have 2 operations for a resource.For first operation the time in standard value is Zero & for second operation I have maintained 24 hrs.

When I create a planned order with this recipe,I see 2 entries for the planned order(for 2 operation).Then When I run MRP and check the planning table,I am not able to see the First operation.This gets dissapeared.Only operation 2 (where I have maintained 24 hrs) is seen in planning table(CM25).

Can any one explain how & why this is happening.

Hi,

Since there is no capacity in the operation it will not be displayed in the capcity planning table for that particualar operation..

That is OK,But why does is appear for the first time.

And what happens in MRP which deletes the first operation with no capacity?

Hi,

1. In Planned order it not only displayts the capacity but also it displays the sequence in which the product is produced

so irrespective of of the capcitgy generation it will display here

2. But when it comes to Capcity planning- it generally consumes much resource so it is restricted to display only for the material with capacity

Hi,

I meant to say that....

When i create the planned order,I can see both the operations in CM25(1st & 2nd).After the MRP the 1st operations disappears.

So want to understand how/what this happens in MRP
