Hi,
In a multilevel capacity planning scenario, if I reshcdule the higher level planned/production order on the planning board, will the lower level planned/.production orders be reschduled too ? If yes then is this done automatically and using which scheduling mode, like find slot etc ?
Also another question is regarding MPS items. If I have a higher level MPS item, then when I run MPR on this item, will the entire BOM be planned or only one level below the MPS header mtl ? If yes then do we need a second planning run to plan the entire BOM? Also what if the MPS item has another MPS assembly in it ? How do we plan the entire BOM in this case ?
anyone ?

Hi GS,
I assume you are doing Capacity leveling in ECC. the capacity leveling is always against WC and planned/production orders. if you only select the higher level orders for Cap leveling and rescheduling, then it won't happens automatically for lower level orders.
it is very hard to carry out sequencing for the orders in a mutiple level BOM which are linked together by essence of dependent requirement relationship, meanwhile considering the WC available cap.
Normally once you've done the cap leveling on higher level orders you need to run CRP for lower level orders, but can the start date of higher level order be considered for Cap leveling on lower level planner orders?

In my view If you run MPS, if you have MPS in BOM components also at the same time systme will plan all MPS after exploding the BOM. If you have any MRP in BOM componenets you need to run MRP again after MPS run.
