Can you run MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC in background to set certain materials to Classic MRP upfront

Due to an active enhancement we cannot use MRP live for a specific material type and they are recognized by a specific MRP controller. When a new material is created for this material type, can we then run transaction MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC in a background job or other program to set the Classic MRP setting upfront for these newly created materials?  This will prevent that someone has to go into MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC and manually has to set the Classic MRP.

Sorry, but I disagree that this was answered in the topic mentioned. We run MRP live (MD01N) and want to force material type to be run on Classic MRP via MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC. Is the user exit mentioned also active in MRP Live, I don't think so, but don't have proof at the moment.
