Hello Friends - Can you pls help me out on this. I have above shown requirement to configure. After that, The Current rule should continue to work and New rule should be applicable to only some of the House Banks.
1. After I got this, I have checked in Search string definition (and also table - TPAMA) to see how Search string is defined - If text found ZA05 else ZAOG.
However, I do not see any rule defined here in OTPM. If not here, from where that rule is getting derived.
Can you pls tell me if it is set up through any Exit.
2. Can you pls give me a little idea how to achieve this requirement.
After Search String is defined, We can assign only one Search string to House Bank, Account.
Is it possible to assign 2 Search Strings to House Bank and Account Id?
Thanks

Hi Kalim - Thanks for your help and Apologies if I am asking you repeatedly on this.
Posting rule ZAOG is defined in OT83. When text is found in Statment, It is posted to different posting rule, ZAO5, if not ZAOG as set up in OT83.
I am not sure this requirement can be achieved. I was asked to change Posting rule maintained in OT83. As requested, If I change Posting rule in OT83 from ZAOG to ZA07, It is not possible to restrict this Posting rule ZA07 to only some of the House Banks.
Thanks
Hi again,
I guess two scenarios have been assigned with the one BAI code 169. One has been assigned in OT83 and other is being used through user exit(If search string is not being used in your system). So once system is finding text in the note to payee line then picking one posting rule, and picking other posting rule in case not finding any text in note to payee line.
You can restrict posting rule through search string for house bank.
But Make sure that text should come in the note to payee line for the house bank in the file for which you want to post. For example, If you are using BAI format then Bank account number of the house bank should come with code 03 and note to payee line should come under this house bank in the file.
Test once in your Test system and let us know if you need any assistance.

Mohammed Kalim
Hi Kalim - Thanks for your information. Keeping aside the changes I need to do for some time,
I have picked up the latest statement, imported and document posted successfully to understand how existing set up works.
System considered the posting rule ZA0G (OT83) and posted the document.
Though Note to payee is there in Statement, System did not consider another Posting rule ZA05.
I checked that whether this particular Search string (Text - coming in the Statement) is defined, It is not maintained in OTPM/T028P.
If any User exit there, It should have considered this Note to payee and posted through ZA05.
It seems both User exit/Search string are not defined.
User is saying that this is how to existing set up works. Getting confused here.
Thanks
