can we create a sales contract using a reference contract but with different sales area?

Hi Team,

We have a sales contract (with sales area having 10 as distribution channel) and now we want to create a warranty contract (with sales area having 20 as distribution channel). Unable to create with reference as the sales area is not same. 

Can someone suggest what should be the copy controls?

Hi,

We have a sales contract created for sales area (Sorg:1000, Dist Chl 10, Div 01) here Dist Chl 10 is for sales and the warranty contract for sales area  (Sorg:1000, Dist Chl 20, Div 01) here Dist Chl 20 is for services. And the Sales doc types (sales contract Z$$1 & warranty contract Z&&1)are assigned for the respective sales areas. Now we want to create a warranty contract "Z&&1" with reference to sales contract Z$$1. 

It says, the distribution channel is not same.
