Can the field MRP Type ( MARC-DISMM ) be maintained as optional in the Product Master ?

The field MRP Type ( MARC-DISMM )  is maintained as optional in the Configuration Activity Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups ( 104026 )  but the field is still mandatory in creating a material with MRP Views ( Create Material App , Manage Product Master data )

Can this field be set as optional entry ?

Not all fields in the Product Master can be customized through field selection as optional 

Fields such as description , base unit , MRP TYPE are hard coded as required and cannot be left blank

Please use value 'ND' No planning for MRP Type as a dummy value
