When we try to transfer or make a change to an asset that originated from a closed WBS element we receive the following error message.

System status CLSD is active (WBS CP-00000999-009-009)

Thanks, Kevin

We get the BS013 error for any type of rtansfer of an assett that is associated to a closed WBS. For example, transferring to a different cost center. Also making transfers that retire the original asset and create a new asset. We don't think we should have to re-open the WBS in order to perform the transfers.

Still looking for an answer. In the asset master data, we are inserting the wbs element number under the "Account assignment for investment" heading. Could that be causing this problem?

When we remove the wbs element number under the "Account assignment for investment" heading, then we are able to perform the asset transferwithout reopening the wbs. We were wanting to use that field so that our auditors could see the wbs from which the asset was created. If we do not use that field, how can we trace an asset back to the originating wbs?

Thanks,

Kevin

Have you looked at the proof of origin reports? You could also move the WBS value to a user field using a substitution.

Thank you for the response. We do not understand why changes cannot be made to an asset after the wbs is closed.
