Hello Experts,

I can not see the MIBC - ABC analysis updates in MM04 changes. How do I track these changes? Lets say I have changed the CC indicator from A to C , I can not see this update in MM04 . Please suggest.

SAP writes Change documents for changes that are done more or less individually by a human. (mass change in MM17 is mass processing of individual changes)

Fields that are changed by a program that is supposed to calculate certain values (like the ABC indicator calculation) and update the material master with the new determined values are not recorded in change logs.

Hi,

Thanks for response. Let me explain the history of the issue.

We have implemented SAP in 2007(ECC 6.0 EHP4). Since then, there had been some materials (slow moving) that were never inventoried and the last count date is Blank (MARD-DLINL).We always run the ABC analysis for all materials once in a year (January month). We run the MICN (batch input) to create the inventory documents. When we inventoried Dec 2011 and Jan 2012, unexpectedly we had encountered huge number materials than the normal number through MICN. We thought the reason could be the SAP correction(Note- 739208) that says inventory too late for first time inventory materials and brings all at once when the fiscal year changes. We implemented this note and we got into more issues. Per note while executing the MICN , SAP looks at MARD-DLINL and if MARD-DLINL found blank , it looks at the MSTA-ERSDA as base date to calculate planned date. We had some materials where we found both MARD-DLINL and MSTA-ERSDA as blank. What does system do in this case? We ended up error u201800/00/0000 can not be convertedu2019. We are interacting with SAP to see if there is any follow up note, they replied saying that we need to run the inventory manually for each material though MI07. How come we do this manually for a huge number of materials (Approx 6000 materials?).

I cannot judge about your communication with SAP, I do not know how your materials got created, but MSTA-ERSDA with no value does not seem to be correct.

I usually do not recommend this, but in this Cycle counting case there is no other way than directy updating MARD-DLINL with a Z-ABAP compare an earlier discussion, http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1176340 .
