Can any one list out all the required mandatory fields for data uploading MM01 using LSMW..pls kindly send the list of fields.

Hello TJK,

Mandatory fields are depends on the following areas:

- Depends on Business Requirements

- Depends on Material type

- Depends on for which organization you are creating materials

You can do one thing,

Create one material manually with required all information for your business and note down the fields in the following commonly used Material master tables:

MAKT Material Descriptions

MARA General Material Data

MARC Plant Data for Material

MARD Storage Location Data for Material

MAST Material to BOM Link

MARD Storage location data

MBEW Mateiral valuation data

The standard LSMW object for material master is follow:

Object 0020 Material master

Method 0000

Program name RMDATIND

Program type D Direct input

Hi Arif,

Actualy I have created one test material,but pb is In foreground its wrking properly.If I put in background I am getting error message "select atlest one view"

so I think I missed out some mandatory fields.

Hello TJK,

I think you are using recording transaction for uploading, normally uploading material master with recording is always painful.

You are not missing any mandatory field, but it's not selecting material view and it gives problem

Use the stanrdard object, it's preeti easy. You can use Auto field mapping that will make your life even more easy.

What method you are using for LSMW....

If recording process u are following...do that properly.

Assign the file properly like delete that and create once again .

Hi

The ideal solution for this is:

Before you run the LSMW, select all the views in MM01 that you wish to create and save as Default Values. This is available in the screen "Selct Views".

After this, if you run the LSMW, you will not get any error.

In field mapping I have some fields are in unassigned status after select auto field mapping.How can I assign this fields ?bcs in standards program this fields are not there.pls guide me..

Dear,

It depends upon ur Business Scenerio.Which filed is required or not.

Like Business Area is Activate then Division is Make Mandatory.

So it's difficult to tell.

Create a test material first ...it will ask for all required fields.....note the same and put that in LSMW.....
