Thank you for the information. I've actually added the field Tax Area to the CAT2 entry and made sure the time was assigned to CA within infotype 2002 but unless I have a percentage assigned in infortype 208 the courtesy withholding does not work. Is there something else I am missing?

We recently implemented a process for tracking time worked in other jurisdictions. We enabled the Tax Area field in CATS. We then use a custom program that calculates the IT0208 percentages and updates the Infotype 0208 for the current pay period.

The tax field in CAT2 is used in the Work Tax Area Override functionality. As I recall, there are related processing classes to maintain. We implemented this years ago and works well - no need for a custom program, but I do believe there may have been a BAdI to implement and possibly a rule. It's been awhile and it depends on how you want to use it. Found good documentation on it in SAP. Try doing a search on Work Tax Are Override or WTAO in the knowledge base articles. Good luck!
