Hi Guys,

In SAP B1 8.82 can we assign a business partner to multiple groups??

Hi Satish,

This is not possible if you use the standard BP Grouping feature in SAP Business One... You can achieve this if you use BP Properties if they are not already used for soemthing else.

Howevere you can also do this using UDF / UDT's but then you need to keep in minde that you will have to write custom reports to extract the required information.

Hi,

In current B1 design, one BP can only have one group associated.

If the BP belongs to other groups, BP property is the best way to link to other groups. Otherwise you need add UDF for it.

Yes you can. But in slightly a different manner in within standard.

You may use BP Properties to incorporate with multiple BP Groups.

So that it will help you in standard reports as output. There is no need of UDF.......

hi Satish,

The Groups which get listed in the drop down in header part of the BP master can not multi selected.

You can make use of properties tab of BP master to assign the additonal tags but remeber to include them in your queires to extract desired information.

Like at our end , we have divided our items into groups , sub - groups and types.

For sub - groups we have created a UDT and selecting that sub - group through UDF linked to that UDT.

Further , we have types such as Sapres , Products and Material which we are selecting through properties tab of item master.
