BOM explsion in MRP for the multiple BOM

hI,

I have three alt bom for single component,my requirement is,

if i made bom status inactive for the first two bom,then is it possible that system will pick up third alternative bom?

pl.forward details or furnish any option.

hi,

i have test the scenario as per making the BOM status inactive for the first two alternative bom,

but system still pick up components from the first two BOM, what is the possible reason?

Hi Devendra

This issue is probably related to the validity. Check the BOM explosion date and make sure that only the third alternative is valid on this date.

Hi,

I have change the status of the first two BOM'S,But not changes the requirements exist into the mdo4 screen for the parents material,that is why it is considering old requirement,now it is clear,

Hi Viktor,

Yes, you can apply Quota arrangement Usage for both BOM's in Production version.

Note: Activate Quota splitting in Lot size(OMI4)

Hello, is it possible to force the system that use two boom in a fix ratio? Example 60/40%. 60 the main 40 the alternative. If yes how?:)

This might be reason with validity date,As other members said system has to pick the third one BOM, if it is having the validity while MRP. Please check the validity date.

Yes definitely. If you make other two BOMs inactive then at the time of MRP run the last BOM will be picked up the system 'ONLY IF IT'S VALID'.

Hi Devendra,

System will pick by default only active BOM. If two alternative BOMS's are made inactive, then third BOM will be picked by system.
