BMBC - Batch Information Cockpit - Too many batches selected with batch

Former Member

Hello All,

I have a problem with the BIC (Transaction BMBC) when we enter a selection criteria with reference to a valuation type. This field is ignored and the selection returns all batches / all valuation types.

I know that the system only evaluates the selection criteria that have a direct reference to object batch for the creation of the 'Selection result:

If the batch level is <> plant in your system - that is, batches are managed uniquely per material or client - the system only takes fields of tables MARA and MCH1 into account" The field Valuation

Type BWTAR is held in table MCHA and therefore it would be ignored if the above criteria is applied.

Checking OSS I have found notes 506553 and 528565. Both these notes have been applied to our system.

Has anyone else come across this issue before and do you know a solution to fix it?

Many, many thanks

Sue

Hi Sue,

I've used ISDFPS (defence solution) and there you have the possibility to use condition management and link the condition of the material to batches and valuation types:

3 valuation types:

- serviceable

- unserviceable

- obsolete

3 condtion types:

- S - for serviceable

- U - for unserviceable

- O - for obsolete

When creating batches for a servicable item, the batch starts with an S*******, for unserviceable the batch starts with U******. Etc.

This should also be available in ECC (DFPS customizing).

Might be too much for your scenario.

Hello MdZ

Thank you for the information. I think this is too complicated for what we want to achieve.

I have raised the issue through customer support and will update this message with their findings.

Kind regards

Sue

Hello Just to update this call... SAP came back to me and they found that there was code missing from the program.

They sent through a fix - see OSS Note 1313289 - BMBC: Valuation type is not selective

Kind regards

Sue
