Bin to Bin Transfer

Hi Experts,

In our warehouse, we have different storage locations connected to same warehouse, but each storage location stock is managed in different storage type as below.

Plant     SLoc    WH         Storage Type           Bin

1000      LOC1    001         001                        01-01-01

1000      LOC2    001         Z01                        10-10-10

In this scenario, users want to transfer stock from Bin 01-01-01 to 10-10-10 directly in WM, which should do a Transfer Posting in IM from LOC1 to LOC2 using 311 Movement for Unrestricted stock.

hi,

As per your scenorio generally posting change will be created while you are doing 311 in IM level(both sloc maintain at single warehouse) and proceed the transfer order with PCN and move accordingly from bin to bin...

I agree with you. Just thought of checking whether this can be possible by any means of Standard config, to initiate this transaction first in WM.

Check thease settings

§  Have you done the settings for IM and WM settings.Here you need to set 311  wm type to generate TO.

WM-IM interface (SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > Define Movement types)

- WM-mvt is 311, TR creation is set for it in WM-IM interface.

WM-mvt type (SPRO > LE > WM > Activities > Transfers >Define Movement Types) - here check WM-mvt 311 for your WH

Set up the movements then try the scenario.

No in this case you cannot initiate the process in WM . You must do sloc transfer using 311 & then with refernce to PCN > create TO > select the appropriate bin where you want to move the stock.
