Billing document pricing date

Hi in my current company setup I see in sales order the pricing date is set to requested delivery date however in billing document it seems to be using the delivery document actual goods issue date. I was under assumption the pricing date in billing dociment should come from sales document, if not where is this configuration done as I cant seem to locate the determination.

We need to understand the process of determining pricing date in Billing Doc.

Sales Order: When Sales order is created that time Pricing date is proposed by the Sales Doc type [VOV8] based on config setting "Prop.f.pricing date" in Sales Doc type setting system reflect the Pricing Date.

Billing Doc: Based on the Copy control setting [Req Routine] and Pricing Type system determine the Pricing date and Pricing respectively in Billing Doc. By default in copy control Req Routine picks the GI date as a pricing Date In Billing for Delevery relevant Billing Doc and for the Sales Order relevant Billing Docs, system picks sales order creation date (based on the setting in Sales Doc type (VOV8) in

We have one more setting in Copy control to determine the price Based on the Sales order creation date and Billing Creation date. Pricing Type B (Carry out new pricing) if you want to pick pricing based on the Billing creation date and G (Copy pricing elements unchanged and redetermine taxes) if you want to copy pricing based on Sales Order.

Apart from above if have one more setting "Pricing date" in Condition type which specifically apply on for that Condition type only

Go to v/06, select your pricing condition type and execute. There you can see a field for Pricing Date. Check whether it is blank or any value is set. Next go to vov8, select your sales document type and execute. There also, you can see a field for Pricing Date.
