Batchjob in ERP 6.0 wihtout spool requests or printouts

We recently upgrade our SAP R/3 4.6d to ECC 6.0

We have several batchjob that shoudl not print any reports after they are completed.

But in ECC 6.0 the Output Device is a mandatory field and we cannot keep it blank.

We have tried messing around with all setting in the print specification but the print keep on coming out.

How can I create a batchjob that does not throw a spool request/print.

Hi,

in general the action to "PRINT" consists of 2 steps:

1-Step, this is a SPOOL-Request

2-Step, this is an Output-Request

Do NOT mark for immediate OUTPUT, this will spool ONLY!

If neede you can check in sp01 wnd decide which jobs you also want to print

One point I should mention, because this is the caus efor a lot of difficulties. If you are running all this Bactjob with a dedicated BatchUser blease check in his UserData if for this user the Selct Box "print emmideately" was checked. If yes please UNCHEK this for your bachtuser.

Kind regards

Using LP01 as output device will do the trick.

We have found that selecting standard output device LP01 will do the job.

Hi Juan,

This is right you can select spool request instead of print request.

Please see the status in sp01 or you have some doubt then check printer setting in spad.
