Balance carryforward of actual data from SAP to SAC Planning system

Hi All,

We are using the standard CDS view `IFIACTPLNJEIC` to extract accounting data from SAP S/4HANA into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) within a planning model via the "Import Connection" feature in the "New Model Type Using Account Dimension."

In SAC, we display the balance sheet and profit/loss statements based on this accounting data, and the business subsequently performs planning activities within SAC.

For balance sheet, it is essential to have balance carryforward data from one year to the next year to show the balances correctly.

Currently, our option is to manually load the ACDOCA-BTTYPE = RFBC` (balance carryforward) transaction data through Data Management -> Import Jobs in the model. However, due to the large volume of data (more than 100 million) in RFBC, I am looking for a more efficient way to obtain balance carryforward data in SAC planning models for subsequent years.

The main question is: How can we effectively load balance carryforward data from SAP to SAC?

Given that `RFBC involves a significant data volume, is there a more efficient method to carry forward transactions from one fiscal year to the next in SAC?

For example, while viewing the balance sheet how can we carry forward inventory balances from FY 2023 to FY 2024 in SAC, so that if a user only selects May 2024, he can view the cumulative balance, i.e., sum of entries posted in FY 2023 + April/May 2024.

@N1kh1l @SarauShen @hartmut_koerner SAP Analytics Cloud SAP Analytics Cloud for planning please let me know your thoughts on this.

Best regards,
Gavin.

Dear

have you referenced one of the documents from SAP Rapid Financial Planning & Analysis for SAP S/4HANA (2EB)

There is flow type: BSENDING Ending Balance of Balance Sheet Accounts

can be used to extract ending balance
