Backflushing process

Dear Experts,

I would like to ask about the backflushing process, especially about the way that the backflushed product are managed in SAP after the production order has been processed. Are the quantities consumed of the backflushed products entered manually or ther is another procedure used to insert this information in the system ??

Thank you.

Hello Marouane,

Backflusing is the automatic goods issue of components at the time of order confirmation. It is used to avoid manual goods issue and reduce manual intervention. It can be set in a material at different levels. Pls refer to below blog post for more details:

Backflush and its priority in use

Once you have material set for backflush then you need not to carry out Goods Issue manually. Please let us know if you have some specific doubts related to backflusing of components.

Thanks,

Rohit

Thank you for your answer it was clear But i still have a little problem that i ll try to illustrate in this example :

If we suppose that we've chosen a material A to be bachflushed, then it means that the good issue of this component will be done automatically once the production order is confirmed. My question is : if we want to know the exact quantity that was consumed in the production activity (supposing that we may have a certain % of scrap whose value is unkown) how can we have this information ?

Elba,

You can refer COOIS order info systems for components to check the required quantity and confirmed quantity against any production order.

In Table level you can refer RESB and MESG tables with inputting order number for movement type 261.

Hi marouane,

If you don't know about the percentage of scrap for that BF(Back flux) material, at the time of confirmation select goods movement & manually change the BF quantity.

If you know about scarp percentage, then assigned in master data.As per scrap percentage wise system will calculate & propose the issue quantity. Same thing you can see in Goods movement screen.

Thanks

Hello Marouane,

If you want to check the exact quantity of component that is withdrawn at the time of backflush then you can check in production order header. open order in CO03 > Go to > Documented Goods Movement. You will get the list of components issued under 261 movement type againts a perticular production order. You can select the columns in layout with quantity & backflush indicator and other scrap values.

You can also use CO26, with standard profile. Enter production order number and execute, once you have the list, open the order structure till components and add the required columns from action button "field". here you can get the value of scrap that is maintained for a component.

There are some other ways using COOIS report and Tables that are mentioned in the reply of other members. pls check.

Regards,

Rohit
