available capacity for work centre

Guys,

Need advice on how to get the warning message/prompt, if planned capacity (No of Hours) from a Mnt.work centre exceed the available capacity defined.

Currently i'm only getting warning message/prompt if the number of person planned is more than the available capacity.

I was wondering if its possible to get the warning message even during the planning itself. Especially after putting in the no of person & also the duration (Total no of hours calculated by the system).

• during release it works fine.

Not sure what's still missing but system was configured as specified.

The capacity check only works if in the order itself i trigger the check thru Menu Order>>Functions>>Availability>>Capacity or during executing order release.

Shouldn't it check as soon as i enter the total duration or no of hours worked ?

No... It will even when u try to release the order.

Check if the workcenter has the "relevant for finite capacity" checkbox checked. Also check in the checking rules in PM customization what the setting is during creation and release of your order type and plant.
