Automatic source determination using MRP

Dear all,

Source of supply is missing in PR generated using MRP; source list and contract is valid this month end.

Though PR delivery date is by next month, but release date is immediate. Assumption is system should assign source since source list is valid till this month end. Can one can help on this.

Please check the following :

1.Check the source list validity for the regular and fixed vendor -2

2.Check the MRP relevant indicator-2 is set in the source list for the vendor

3.Check the following notes :

OSS Note 110074 - MRP: Source of supply, several valid source list records

OSS Note 206684 - MRP: automatic source determination

Sundar,

Check whether you have your source list record relevant for MRP and also in the purchasing view of the material maste for field "Source list" check box is active.
