Automatic Determination of Valuation Class based on Material group during Material master creation ?

There is client requirement to automatically determine the valuation class in accounting view based on material group provided in Basic data view in Material/Service master creation.

Is this possible in S/4HANA Cloud ?

The customizing for Valuation Class assignment is at Material Type level , not Material Group

We have the configuration activates below for Valuation Class assignment which is also documented at the resource Configuration for Product Master Data

but it does not allow to specific Material Group 

 Define Account Category Reference
 Define Valuation Classes
 Define Account Category Reference/Material Type

The BADI BD_CMD_PROD_DATA_API_CHECK_2 (Extended Checks for Product Master Tables) , can be implemented via embedded Steampunk to perform a  custom validation in Manage Product Master Data if needed

We have already checked BAdI for Product master data extended checks. (BD_CMD_PROD_DATA_API_CHECK) We were trying to update the Valuation class based on material group by making use of CDS view - I_PRODUCTGROUP_2. We checked the BAdI and found that Product group is available But unfortunately, we DIDNT FOUND VALUATION CLASS in changing parameters of BAdI. Business Requirement is to read Product group & based on that, Control valuation Class.
