automatic creation of purchase requisition for semi-finished product HALB

Hi Gurus,

We want the MRP to generate automatically a purchase requisition, instead of a planned order, for a semi-finished product. Of course, we still want to be able to convert it to a planned order.

thanks

Hi,

You have to select procurement type F in the material master (MRP2 view) and also you have to select Creation Indicator for Purchase Requisitions as 1 or 2 during MRP run.

Thanks,

it is conrrolled by procurement type field in MRP2 view of HALB material master, in which you maintain procurement type as E instead of X or F, then run MRP...it will work

now our procurement type field in MRP2 view is set to 'X', since we want to able to do external procurement or in-house production.

if it is X, then while running MRP, make sure that the creation indicator is 3- planned order, so that system will create planned order first which you can convert to PR or production order.

Hope it will satisfy yr requirement

No, unfortunatley I want the opposite.

default: Purch. req. with option of planned order.

Dear,

IF that is the case, what system is doing is correct, system will create PR...then what is your question?

you wanted system to create planned order which can be converted to PR or production order for which we all gave the solution.

Can you please tell me exactly what are you looking for?

Hi,

My MRP is creating a planned order that I can convert to a purchasing req for a semi-finished product in MD04. But I want the MRP to generate a purch. req. first and then, if I want, still be able to do an in-house production in MD04.

hope its more clear,

thanks

No, if you have X, then system will create PL order which can be converted to PRor prod order, reverse case is not possible.

Hi Jean,

"Default: Purch. req. with option of planned order".

I dun think it is possible. Could you please elaborate the reason for this requirement, so that the alternative solution can be thought.

Hi Jean-Francois Millaire,

You want a purchase requisition after MRP run & you should also able to convert that purchase requisition to planned order,If i understood correctly, hope this is your requirement

First one is possible -in MD01/MD02 maintain create purchase requisition as "1"

Second is not possible, its not possibel to conver a PR(purchase requisition to Planned order where as vice versa is possible

confirm my understanding, pls revert if you differ

SVP

in MD01, I already selected 1 Create Pur. Req. You understand correctly. I want the MRP to generate a purch. req. as default, but still want the option to send it to in-house production.

When you select procurement type X in material master and Creation Indicator for Purchase Requisitions as 1 in MD01(MRP run), then it will create purchase requisiton as default.

Thanks,

Srinivas

I'm afraid there is another setting somewhere, because I just tested with '1' in MD01 and X in mat. master HALB and still do a planned order.

thanks
