Automatic Creation of Purchase Order if a contract exists

Does anyone know if it's at all possible to have a PO auto release if there is a contract in place?

Here's the scenario:

User creates a shopping cart request and ties the product to a contract, after releasing the shopping cart request the system would automatically create the purchase order.

I know it's possible to automatically create a PO based on other origin types, but I couldn't find a way to make this work.

Thank you for any help!

Hi j_sherm,

Please follow the below steps:

Go to Business Configuration --> Implementation Projects --> Edit Project Scope --> Questions --> Scoping Element: Purchase Orders --> Check Question: Do you release orders from purchasing contracts?

.

Let me know if it works and mark the question as answered if your requirement is met or comment back for any further queries.

.

Dear Anant,

I've followed the following steps; however, I couldn't release purchase order from the contract. The only way I could create purchase order from contracts is by using supply planning. I'm not sure if there's something else missing. If you could show us, how can you release purchase order directly, I would appreciate the help.

Thanks & Regards,
