Authorization in Posting Period

Dear Gurus,

I have to configure authorization for 4 user ids for posting after a specific period is closed.I have 4 user ids with me.Request you to please tell me step wise the activities to be done.Do I need basis help.

Pls tell me the steps our Basis consultant is asking from me the Value of the Object F_BKPF_BUP ?

Hi

Tell your basis team to fill 0001 in the authorisation group.

And you please do the following settings,

Period 1 is open for only those users who have got the authorisation group & period 2 is open for all the users.

So if you want the particular user to post in the period 1 tell your basis team to give '0001' value in the the F_BKPF_BUP object & you please mention this group in OB52 under AuGr.

and rest period 2 is open for all the users.

This is the ob52 entry in PRD.

1000 + 10 2009 11 2009

There is no entry in period 2.Then how are normal users posting in PRD now?

Dear Gurus,

I have exactly done what you told.This is my ob52 entry

1000 + 9 2009 9 2009 10 2009 10 2009 0001

I want 0001 Authorizartion users to post in period 9 that is dec and rest users to post in period 10.

With this entry all users are able to post in period 9.IPS you said that Period 1 is related to Aug Group but in system I find that its for normail users.

Dear all please contribute and clear this doubt.

Can to tell step wise:

1)Should I creat au gr 001?

then assign in OB52?

And What I need to tell basis team?

There are 2 sets of column in 0b52 Per1 -per & per2- perid.For authorization which period will be affected.

Basis Team -

Create an Authorisation Group for the four users. Add these users in authorisation group to the authorisation object F_BKPF_BUP.

Functional Team -

Add an entry in the OB52 table for this authorisation group against the period.

With the help of your basis team assign the 4 users to authorization object F_BKPF_BUP).
