Assigning Supervisors to Multiple Cost Centers in PPOME

How would you go about assigning one supervisor to multiple cost centers in PPOME.

EX: Supervisor is Billy, Billy is over Powder Line Cost Center 11111 and Wire Line Cost Center 11112

If we assign Billy as supervisor over the Powder line, his name appears out to the side of the Powder Line in PPOME

Since he is already the cost center of Powder Line and PPOME is driven by the Position Number for allocating supervisors, Billy's number cannot be entered again as supervisor over Wire Line and show up out to the side of the hierarchy. Therefore it does not accurately reflect that Billy is over multiple Cost Centers.

How do you allow this multiple cost center assignment to one supervisor and allow visibility so we can see how many departments he is actually over?

Hi,

Assign Billy with Two Positions as Supervisor in Powder line and Wire line with 50% in the IT 0001. then run the report RHINTE00 (PA to PD/OM) and check in the org structure.

Does the 50% divide his supervisor responsibility or the financial responsibility?

I agree with Siddharth - for financial cost distribution, use IT 27. The solution I mentioned will take care of supervisor responsibility.

Hi Tabitha,

Could you not use IT0027 Cost distribution for financial responsibility split?

Yes, and we currently do that. We just weren't sure of the transaction that would allow the supervisor responsibility to be split. Thank you!!!

Do you mean assigning Billy's position as Chief position of an org unit? Can you attach a screenshot of PPOME to clarify?

Yes sorry, Org Unit but multiple cost centers.

Create the A012 relationship between the single position and both org units. This implies that the position manages the two org units.

This will divide his responsibility between the two org units correct? Does it divide the financial responsibility or can you customize how much of the finances ( % wise) should go to each org unit he is over?

When we try to do the a 012 relationship, it gives us this error:

"error between S and S, relationship A 012 is not allowed T777E"

this is after selecting our supervisor, inputting A 012, and selecting the position number for the employee we want to show as reporting to the supervisor.

When we try and use the Person option instead of the Position option it says "error between S & P, relationship A012 not allowed "

Create the A012 relationship between the position & each of the two org units.

So we went back to A012 table and split the supervisors up that way and it works! The supervisors now show up all along the hierarchy as they should! Thank you all for the help!
