Assigning Cost center to GL

dear Forum,

please help  me out how to assign cost center to GL a/c in Payroll.

Hi Friend,

First we have to create this Gl account as cost element either from FS00 or use KA01 after creating GL accounting in FI.

Every Employee should be assigned with a cost Center at the time of Hiring, then these cost center will be updated at the time of payroll run.

Hi Shihab,

My scenario was at the time of payroll run cost center was wrongly hitting the cost element now i would like assign CCT to correct cost element. so pls tell me where i need to change..

HI Friend

Have you checked your FI-HR integration part, i think you have wrongly assigned the GL account that is the reason it taking the wrong cost elements.

There is an option to give default cost center for cost element , if you are giving a default cost center for a cost element whenever the cost element is posted with a value it will be updated with this default cost center. It is not better idea to give default cost center,

The relationship between Cost Center and GL a/c takes place in Cost Element Master Data using Account Assignment.

Hi

Cost Center is not assigned to GL a/c. Both are linked using a Cost Element.
