There is no hard and fast rule to use "non-valuated " material type for assets.

you can use valuated material type and create material master.

you can procure the material and get into inventory.

Then you can issue to Asset.

Another option is to use this material in PO with account assignment catagory as A

when you do GR, it will directly go to Assets. it wont come to stores inventory.

if non-valuated material is used, in PO itself it will ask for account assignment which you have to give as A.

Hi Mohan,

you can procure the Asset Mat. by three way.

1. PO ( A = Asset) ---> GR ( Mat. Will be posted to Asset A/c.) ---> IV.

2. PO ---> GR -

> Issue the material using Internal Order -

> IV.( Standard Procurement Process)

3. PO( A=Asset) -

> GR -

> IV ( Here Material is Non-Valuated, During GR Stock posting will take place but material value will be posted to Asset A/c).

hope its help you.

Hi,

For Asset procurement,maintain Account Assignment Category 'A' and PO and give the Asset which directly goes for consumption.

In J1id,select the Asset in Matl and Chapter Id combination as the 50% value has to go to On-Hold account.

Create the tax codes with Input tax,Tax procedure and assign the corresponding values.

Do the GR and here u need not enter the storage location as it's for consumption.

Do the MIRO.
